“M Cessation” to quit tobacco

Union Health Ministry will launch “Mobile (m) Cessation”, a mobile based intervention for the people who want to quit the habit of tobacco. Govt had already set a target of reducing tobacco use by 20% by 2024 and 30% by 2025.

Move up in Indirect tax revenue collections

There is jump up in Indirect Tax Revenue (Provisional) Collections with 32.6%. In September 2024 Rs. 61,284 crore is registered compared to Rs. 46,224 crore in September 2014.

High-risk area boundary shifted from India’s coastline

• The high risk area(HRA) boundary in the Indian Ocean shifted away from the western coastline of India.The HRA is shifted from 78 degrees East to the 65 degrees East longitude off India’s western coastline.This new boundary will be effective from 1st December 2024.
• This announcement is made  by the European Union Chair of the Contact Group of Piracy off the Coast of Somalia (CGPCS)

100 food streets to be adopted during first phase of Surakshit Khadya Abhiyan

• This resolutions will be valid for one year.
